Housing Corporation of Arlington
Housing Corporation of Arlington is a non-profit developer of affordable housing in the Town of Arlington. They own 14 two-family homes with family-sized apartments, and recently renovated and upgraded an 18 unit building to maintain them as affordable 1 bedroom apartments on Mass Ave. They administer the Town's homelessness prevention fund, and manage the waitlist for their affordable rental properties.

Chelsea Neighborhood Developers (Chelsea)
CND leases 156 apartments for working families and those with limited incomes. All of their units are located in Chelsea’s downtown neighborhoods. More apartments are in construction that will become available in 2008 and 2009. Melrose Affordable Housing Coalition

The lottery for the 14 affordable rentals available at Oak Grove Village was held in March of 2007. Applications are currently being received for a waiting list. When affordable units become available the management company will contact the waiting list in the order applications are received. Caritas Communities owns and operates 3 affordable housing SRO (singe room occupancy) facilities in Arlington & Everett, and are working on a 4th in Melrose, MA.

Housing Families, Inc (Malden, Medford)
In addition to developing permanent affordable housing units in the cities of Malden, Medford, and Everett, Housing Families, Inc. (HFI) is committed to providing stabalization services for homeless families, or families at risk of becoming homeless.
HFI owns and operates 37 units of permanent affordable housing. It also operates shelter facilities and transitional housing units. To find out about leasing from HFI, call (781) 322-9119.
HarborCOV is a non-profit organization working with the "Harbor" communities of greater Boston (Chelsea, East Boston, Winthrop & Revere), has worked to create emergency and permanent housing for victims of domestic violence. 251 Broadway, Chelsea
The TILL Building at 251 Broadway, Chelsea is a 23 unit building developed by the non-profit Toward Independent Living, who uses the street-level storefront of the building to operate a cafe and run classrooms that provide services for individuals of all ages with mental retardation, mental health, physical handicaps, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, including Asperger's Syndrome, emotional problems, and brain injuries.
